Jodi-Lyn is a Registered, Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist with a Masters degree in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University (2005) and an Undergraduate degree in Psychology (1999) from the University of Ottawa. She is a practicing Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with additional training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness training and ACT. Jodi-Lyn is a registered member of the OCSWSSW, OASW and CASW. She brings over 20 years of experience in mental health and has a background in Addiction Counselling and Crisis Intervention. In addition to working with children, youth, adults, and geriatric patients who have ranged from mild to significant psychiatric disorders, she also brings experience in Aquired Brain Injury and Trauma Counselling (advanced level certificate in trauma counselling), including PTSD. Jodi-Lyn has worked in a variety of settings from family counselling centres, hospitals, addiction centres, and correctional facilities. She was a professor at Seneca College (SSW program) and currently still works for Southlake Regional Health Centre.
Jodi-Lyn brings a genuine and caring approach to therapy. Her practice is client centered and driven to improve overall mental health providing a safe place to begin healing.
